Anticipated Position Announcements

A.W. Beattie Career Center is seeking qualified individuals to fill the following anticipated positions. Letters of application, resume, and standard Pennsylvania School Application found HERE. Application packets will be accepted until February 20, 2017 for each position or until filled.



Sports Medicine - Rehab Therapy and Exercise Sciences Technology (SMART-EST)

The successful candidate must possess the ability to demonstrate equipment knowledge and operation, body mechanics, basic clinical skills; emergency care and first aid, medical terminology, related math and communication skills. The successful candidate will be engaging high school students in a college and career pathway to develop skills to assist in rehabilitation services under the supervision of physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other therapeutic professionals. The selected individual will also be preparing students for additional post-secondary education opportunities and related employment.


The selected individual must hold a current license/certification from the PA Department of State in one of the following disciplines:

  • Athletic Trainer
  • Physical Therapist
  • Physical Therapy Assistant
  • Occupational Therapist
  • Occupational Therapy Assistant


In addition a minimum of a Bachelor's degree preferred in the field of practice and including a minimum of two (2) years of paid field experience is a requirement.



Veterinary Sciences Technology - Veterinary Assistant Instructor

The successful candidate must possess the ability to demonstrate equipment knowledge and operation, animal body mechanics, clinical skills; emergency care and first aid, medical terminology, related math and communication skills. The successful candidate will be engaging high school students in a college and career pathway to assist in veterinary services and kennel operations. The selected individual will also be preparing students for additional post-secondary education opportunities.


The selected individual must hold at a minimum PA Veterinary Technician License along with a related associate degree and a minimum of (2) years of paid field experience is a requirement.



Selected candidate will need to meet all required local, state and federal employment requirements prior to employment.
